On February 4th and 5th "Cittá del Vaticano" by Falk Richte and Nir de Volff will be shown at Thalia Theater in Hamburg.
Homepage of Talia Theater:
"The audience of Wienser Festwochen cheered a lot for these artists. In this wild mix of discurs and dance theatre they ask questions like: how religion and church form our way of living? Is it possible to meld the positions of religion and church with the life of a young European generation? While European society faces growing powers of right winged religious force, western agnostics process their religious past and free themselves from aincient ideas of identity, family and sexuality.
But: what's my identity? Where's my home? Is religion - or maybe even the Vatican - reformable? In this case the Vatican is not ment to be seen as a catholic place, but as a metaphor meaningful attempts of christian religion.
The Hamburg born author and director Falk Richter assambled in collaboration with choreographer Nir de Volff/TOTAL BRUTAL an overall genre ensemble, representing the young generation of Europe. Text und Dance meet in this performance by actors and performers, who ot to know eachother at Biennale di Venezia 2015."
